1/10

if i could give less than 1 star i would. to sum up, good concept. college students joining forces to win at poker. but other than that, everything in this is crap. terrible acting. bad script. bad cinematography. bad directing. did i mention bad acting? michael madsen providing the only glimmer of watchability in an otherwise ridiculous movie. not even funny ridiculous. just flat out cliche bad shit.

6/10

i only found out this was made in Australia by an independent Aussie filmmaker using a handheld digital camera. i thought it was ok while watching it, but now that i know how it was made, i'm even more impressed. its a guy movie though, don't bring the girls.

Hitman (2007)
6/10

good for a video game movie. but not something i'd watch again. action scenes forgettable. plot just missing that extra cool factor. timothy olyphant is a bit of a bad actor as well. or is that just because the Hitman is supposed to be that stiff. something that deserves a positive mention is that Agent 47 does not actually have sex with the girl the entire movie, and in fact goes out of his way to avoid it. very nice touch.

pixar classic. i love boo! the ending was expertly done, if you think about how hard it is to come up with a non cheesy ending that makes everyone feel good.

Rush Hour 3 (2007)
5/10

this has to be the stupidest movie i've paid money to watch this year. and YET i can't help but give it 6/10. even though the plot line is worse than kindergarten level. even though it incorporates every asian stereotype possible. even though many a scene i was wincing at the lameness. even SO, i still couldn't help but laugh loudly at certain points. being the last in the trilogy almost makes it a must watch, but try to "borrow from a friend" if possible.

The Bourne Identity (2002)
9/10

i love spy movies that are JUST realistic enough. The Bourne Identity has to be the perfect example of how an over the top movie can still maintain some sort of grounding in reality as jason bourne disarms guards and outsmarts "the system".
